  By far the most expensive country grocer store I’ve shopped at. My husband literally comes home with food that he paid above average prices and in return gets foods that are on the cusp of being nothing short of compost. Second bag of grapes this week that my husband brought home from country grocer Lake Cowichan. Unfortunately, I’m too ill to get out of bed and shop for us in duncan which is the only way to not only survive in lk but you don’t have to be disappointed when you get home after shopping for groceries in duncan. These owners have no problem with selling rotten meats at full price, potatoes, carrots, peppers, onions (9 X out of 10) a minimum of half of what you pay full price for is willing, rotting, gone stale you name it, they sell it. I wouldn’t ever recommend shopping here. The only positive feedback is produced by staff members/owners. I know this for a fact as I know the community here very well and everyone I talk to young or old all agree with these same complaints. I wish Lake Cowichan would not rip of their own community.
